Jim Sargent is an accomplished financial executive with over two decades of experience in educational and nonprofit institutions. Currently serving as CFO at Austin International School, he leads strategic financial planning and team development while partnering with the Board and school leadership on key initiatives. Previously, he served as CFO at Emancipet and CFO, HR and IT Director at St. David's Episcopal School, where he managed complex organizational operations while maintaining strong fiscal oversight. His experience includes roles as Finance Director at UT Austin and CFO at Process Technologies Services, as well as Chair of the Finance Committee at Holderness School.
Throughout his career, Sargent has specialized in creating sustainable financial structures, developing high-performing finance teams, and partnering with institutional leadership on strategic initiatives. His expertise includes multi-year financial modeling, audit oversight, and implementing data-driven systems for financial decision-making.
