Welcome!
Thank you for visiting us, and I am honored and delighted to welcome you today. Whether you are considering Austin International School as your next school or you are already part of our amazing community, we hope you will see our values visible from the moment you walk through the front door. I am so honored to join this dedicated community, and it is a privilege to serve the needs of AIS families.
AIS is heading into an exciting phase of growth over the next few years, and when thinking about our common goals, aligned in mission and values, I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes: “We can’t change the direction of the wind, but we can adjust our sails to always reach our destination.”
In our close-knit community, there are more than 60 different nationalities and over 25 different languages. As the only school in this area to have received full accreditation from both the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) and the French Ministry of Education (MEN) we understand the importance of cultural competency and multilingualism in a world where people have the opportunity to be more connected than ever. We are also launching the International Baccalaureate MYP as we believe providing a variety of pathways to students is the best way to fuel their inquiry and joy of learning.
We take our responsibility to develop citizens of the world seriously, and this means continuing to grow our offerings and providing students with as many opportunities to fuel their passions as possible.
